Durg-Visakhapatnam Vande Bharat To Start Operating Via Odisha From Sept 20
Koraput: Visakhapatnam-Durg (Raipur) Vande Bharat Express, which will run via Odisha, will start operating from September 20.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually flagged off the train on its inaugural run from Ahmedabad on Monday evening.
This semi-high-speed air-conditioned train will cover the distance between Durg in Chhattisgarh and Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh in just eight hours, a notable reduction from the current 11-hour journey time. In Odisha, the train will stop at Khariar Road, Kantabanji, Titlagarh, Kesinga, and Rayagada.
This will be the sixth Vande Bharat to pass through the state.
On September 15, Odisha got two more semi-high-speed trains as the PM flagged off Berhampur-Tatanagar Vande Bharat Express and Rourkela-Howrah Vande Bharat Express through videoconferencing from Ranchi.
