Guwahati: An earthquake measuring 5.2 on Richter scale shook Meghalaya on Monday evening.
According to the National Center for Seismology, the earthquake originated in North Garo Hills of the north-eastern state and was felt at 6.15 pm today.
The tremors of the quake, whose depth was 10 km, were felt in parts of West Bengal and Assam too.

On Sunday, a mild earthquake of magnitude 2.6 hit parts of Haryana.
According to National Center for Seismology, the quake took place at 11.26 pm on Sunday, with the epicentre located 7 km east southeast of Rohtak.
