ECoR To Run 3 More Trains Originating From Odisha With LHB Coaches

Bhubaneswar: The East Coast Railway (ECoR) has decided to provide coach facilities of Rajdhani Express in three trains originating from the stations under its jurisdiction.

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw during his recent visit to Odisha had flagged off Bhubaneswar-KSR Bengaluru Prashanti Special with Rajdhani Express-like coach facilities and also announced to provide the facility in Bhubaneswar–New Delhi–Bhubaneswar Duronto Express and Bhubaneswar–Anand Vihar (Delhi)–Bhubaneswar Super Fast Express via Angul-Jharsuguda-Rourkela.

Following the minister’s announcement, the ECoR has provided the facility in the trains by augmenting with modern LHB coaches. These coaches are fire retardant, have higher passenger carrying capacity and ensure safe and comfortable journey.

The regular service of 18463/18464 Bhubaneswar–KSR Bengaluru City–Bhubaneswar Prashanti Express with LHB coaches commenced from Dt 05.07.2022 from Bhubaneswar and Dt 06.07.2022 KSR Bengaluru City.

12281/12282 Bhubaneswar–New Delhi–Bhubaneswar Duronto Express will run with LHB coach facilities from 13.07.2022 from Bhubaneswar and 14.07.2022 from New Delhi.

Similarly, 22805/22806 Bhubaneswar–Anand Vihar (Delhi)–Bhubaneswar Super Fast Express via Angul-Jharsuguda-Rourkela will run with LHB coach facilities from 16.07.2022 from Bhubaneswar and 18.07.2022 from Anand Vihar.

LHB coach facility in ECoR trains like 22869/22870 Visakhapatnam-Chennai-Visakhapatnam Express will commence from Visakhapatnam from July 11 and from Chennai from July 12.

This facility will also be available in 18503/18504 Visakhapatnam-Sai Nagar Shirdi-Visakhapatnam Express from July 7 from Visakhapatnam and from July 8 from Sai Nagar Shirdi.

Till now, 49 trains originating from ECoR jurisdiction have Rajdhani Express-like coach facilities.
