Bhubaneswar: Education is the key to transformation. The students should take initiative to provide proper education to those children, who are deprived of education in their locality, said Chief Minister
Naveen Patniak during his visit to Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) on Saturday.
Addressing 25,000 students of KISS, Naveen said, “KISS is the leading tribal institute in the world and the pride of Odisha. I congratulate staff, faculty members and management of KISS for the university status.”
Speaking on the occasion, KIIT & KISS founder Dr. Acyuta Samanta expressed his gratitude to the chief minister for visiting KISS after being granted the university status.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister inaugurated a newly built library-cum- learning center sponsored by Tata Steel and the new campus of KISS University.
Among others, Saswati Bal, President, KIIT & KISS; R. N. Dash, Secretary, Prof. Harekrishna Satapathy, VC, KISS University; Julius Lakra, Registrar and other officials were present.
