Bhawanipatna: Egg attack on ruling party leaders by the Opposition parties on ruling party leaders continues to be a major form of protest in the state.
On Friday, Youth Congress activists hurled eggs on the carcade of BJD MP Sujeet Kumar and MLA Bhupinder Singh near Ulikupa- Narala village in Kalahandi district.
According to reports, the BJD leaders were returning from a programme organised by party workers when Youth Congress workers hurled eggs on their vehicles.
In recent days, there has been a spate of egg attacks against ministers in the Naveen Patnaik-led BJD government in Odisha. The protests were over the murder of schoolteacher Mamita Meher.
