Kalahandi: An elderly man was mauled to death by a wild bear at Kucheijor village under Narla police limits in Kalahandi district on Tuesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Dhanu Gaud.
According to reports, the incident took place when Dhanu had gone to a nearby forest to attend nature’s call. A wild bear suddenly appeared from a bush and pounced on him. Some villagers reached the spot after hearing him scream, but he had died by by then.
