Cuttack: Tension ran high at Bhubanananda Orissa School of Engineering (BOSE) here on Tuesday morning when irate students burnt tyres in front of the main gate of the institute in protest against non-availability of food in the canteen.
However, police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control after pacifying the students.
The students alleged that the authorities had stopped preparing food for them since last two days.
