Ensure Benefits Of Healthcare Schemes Reach Poor People: Minister To CDMOs
Bhubaneswar: Health Minister Pratap Jena on Thursday asked the Chief
District Medical Officers (CDMOs) to ensure that the benefits of
various healthcare schemes reach poor and downtrodden people.
Inaugurating the two-day conference of CDMOs here, the minister threw
light on the objectives of recently launched healthcare schemes
including Anmol Yojana, Sahay, Ama Clinic Yojana and Nidaan Yojana and
directed the CDMOs to help the government in the proper implementation of
these schemes.
The meeting is likely to hold discussion on Rubella vaccination drive,
which is scheduled to begin in the state from January 29 to prevent
children from being affected by diseases like measles, mumps and
rubella.
