Ex-Regular Plus Two Student Slits Wrist Protesting Exam Paper Valuation Process
Bhubaneswar: The protests against evaluation of Plus Two examination papers this year took a serious turn on Monday when an ex-regular student from Ganjam slit her wrist in front of the office of the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) in Bhubaneswar.
The dropout and ex-regular students said protests seeking valuation of Plus two papers as per the Class X score has fallen on deaf ears and their future is at stake.
Due to the new evaluation process adopted by the Council, barely 26 per cent ex-regular students have cleared the exam while the pass percentage is 99 per cent in regular students, they alleged and demanded justice.
On September 6, hundreds of dropout and ex regular students had staged a protest in the capital city alleging disparity in the evaluation process for Plus two exams.
