Puri: Excise officials seized brown sugar worth around Rs 11 lakh and arrested two persons in this regard in Puri district on Saturday.
The accused were identified as Purnna Chandra Sahu of Haripur village in Pipili and Ramachandra Behera of Sebaka Sahi near Delang. They were later forwarded to a court.
According to sources, the officials seized 30 grams brown sugar from Purnna and 80 grams from Ramahandra.
The Excise Officials conducted the raids under the direction of Puri Collector Samarth Verma.
