Bhubaneswar: A post is doing the rounds on social media platforms with claims of National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval purportedly sharing an information that Pakistan is preparing for cyber attack all over secretly.
The post says, “Now coward country Pakistan is preparing for cyber attack secretly. Avoid clicking messages or picking up the phone from any anonymous number.”
However, PIB Fact Check has clarified that this Facebook account is fake and that the NSA does not have an official Facebook account. It advised people to exercise caution and not engage with any imposter or fake profiles claiming to represent them. People have been advised to rely on official sources for authentic information.

PIB had earlier stated that a barrage of coordinated disinformation has been carried out by certain social media handles in general and mainstream media in particular in Pakistan with the sole objective to instill fear among the Indian masses. This psychological warfare has been actively debunked by the Press Information Bureau (PIB) for the last few weeks.
In addition, Indian media and social media users have been falling for misinformation. The fact-check unit of PIB put the record straight and debunked misinformation, disinformation and outright lies. A total of seven videos were fact-checked between 10 pm on May 8 and 6.30 am of Friday.
PIB continues to actively engage in debunking fake news and busting myths and protect national interest and sovereignty of the nation, it added.
