Bhubaneswar: A mob went on a rampage and ransacked a portion of a private nursing home in Bhubaneswar on Friday night, following the death of a patient. According to police, the family of one Jaichandra Das have alleged that wrong injection was administered to him by the doctor, which led to his death.
The attendants of the patient also scuffled with some police personnel who arrived at the spot to bring the situation under control.
However, the hospital authorities have denied medical negligence. Meanwhile, the concerned doctor was detained by the cops for questioning.
Three days ago, Das, a mason by profession, was injured after falling off a three-storey building while working at a construction site. He was rushed to the nursing home after his hand got fractured.
