Father, Son Don Black Coats To Bring Justice To Mamita Meher; Know Who They Are
Bhubaneswar: The sensational Mamita Meher murder case that rocked Odisha last year has taken an interesting turn. A father and son have come together to don the black coat and fight for justice. The father-son duo is none other than state Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader Narasingha Mishra and his son Amarendra.
The senior Congress leader, who is also the MLA from Balangir, is fighting the legal battle in the Orissa High Court to bring justice to the murdered school teacher in a PIL alleging conspiracy and negligence in investigation in the case.
His son Amarendra is appearing as Special PP in the lower court.
Hearing the case in virtual mode, the HC had directed the petitioner to go to the lower court. At the Kantabanji ADJ Court, Amarendra will now fight the case, scheduled to be heard on April 18 but postponed because of the severe heat wave.
“We both have one aim. A Special PP’s aim is to ensure punishment to the accused, which is my aim as well,” the Congress leader said.
