Bhubaneswar: A video from Ananta Basudev Temple in Odisha’s capital Bhubaneswar, recently viral, not for its religious significance but for a man serving prasad.
What has caught everyone’s eyes is his striking resemblance with Indian cricket star Virat Kohli. The man can be seen dressed in a traditional dhoti with a moustache and Kohli-like features.
Shared by food vlogger Pratham Arora on YouTube and reposted by Sunil the Cricketer on X, the clip has amassed over a million views. The cricketing legend humorously captioned the post, “I am convincing myself that person is not Virat Kohli,” sparking a frenzy online.

Notably, the prasad at this 13th-century shrine, dedicated to Lord Krishna, is the most sought-after holy meal in Odisha after Lord Jagannath’s ‘abhada bhoga’ in Puri. It was constructed by Chandrikadevi, daughter of Ananga Bhimadev III in the Saka era of 1278 AD.
