Jharsuguda: A fire broke out at Union Bank branch on Sarabahal Road in Odisha’s Jharsuguda district on Sunday.
According to sources, locals informed the Fire Service department after noticing smoke billowing out from the bank building at around 10.30 am. Fire fighters soon rushed to the spot and managed to douse the blaze.
Important documents and office files kept inside the premises were damaged in the fire, which is suspected to have been triggered by a short circuit in an AC left running the previous evening.
