Bhubaneswar: A massive fire broke out at a tent house storeroom in Paikarapur area on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar, reducing tent materials to ashes.
According to preliminary information, the blaze reportedly spread rapidly through the storeroom, triggering panic in the locality as thick smoke and flames engulfed the premises.
No one was reported to have been injured in the fire, which caused extensive damage to the materials stored in the premises.
After receiving information, Fire Service personnel were immediately alerted, and teams were rushed to the spot to contain the situation.
Sources said four firefighting teams were engaged in controlling the blaze.
A large quantity of tent house materials, including items stored for use during functions and events, was reportedly destroyed in the fire. The exact extent of the damage is yet to be assessed.
