Bhubaneswar: Swine flu has reared its ugly head again with five persons testing positive for the avian influenza in the state capital.
According to sources, four among the H1N1 infected persons are women. They were admitted to the isolation ward of private hospitals here in the last two days.
While two persons were hospitalized on Tuesday, three were admitted the previous day. The infected persons are reportedly from Kalahandi, Jagatsinghpur and Khurda districts.
Swine flu is categorized as an air-borne infection that is highly communicable and easily transmitted from one person to another. The symptoms include fever, coughing, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, body ache and fatigue.
