Mumbai: Amid linkup rumours, Malaika Arora, during her recent appearance on ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’, revealed that her love for veteran cricketer-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu is true and he will never break her heart.
Describing Sidhu, fondly known as ‘Sherry’, as a true friend of hers, Malaika opened up about how after a certain age one cannot make good friends.
“After a certain age we say that we don’t make many friends. In fact, we can’t even make one because no one has time. But I have made a true friend in Sherry, literally,” she said.
“The biggest thing is that my love for him is that true love where he cannot hurt my heart all my life,” she added.
When host Kapil told Malaika on the show, “Ma’am, Amritsar’s food is very famous – Kulcha. Have you seen the white butter (Makhan) on kulcha? It reminds me of you,” Sidhu quipped, “Malaika mam, what do you get from my house?”
Malaika then revealed that Sidhu sends her white butter, some snacks, along with some jaggery in every 15 or 20 days.
Malaika and Sidhu’s camaraderie and playful banter as judges on ‘India’s Got Talent’ often turned out to be one of the highlights of the show.
Sidhu often praised Malaika for her discipline and personality on the show, saying, “I have never seen a more grounded celebrity. Her feet are firmly on the ground… she eats on time. She has an entourage of 56.”
Of late, rumours about Malaika Arora dating Splitsvilla X6 fame Sorab Bedi have been doing the rounds. The buzz began after Sorab shared pictures of himself partying with Malaika at her restaurant.
