Fog To Continue In Coastal Odisha, Night Temp To Drop After 2 Days
Bhubaneswar: Odisha is likely to experience no large change in the night temperature for another two days, following which winter chill may return with mercury dipping by 3-4 degree Celsius in many parts of the state, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) informed on Tuesday.
The MeT office has also forecast shallow to moderate fog at one or two places in coastal Odisha, Kandhamal, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kalahandi, Rayagada, Koraput and Malkangiri districts till 8.30 am on Wednesday. Fog is likely to engulf some places in Koraput, Rayagada, Ganjam, Gajapati, Puri, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Balangir, Sonepur, Boudh, Angul, Cuttack and Dhenkanal districts in the subsequent 24 hours.
Shallow to moderate Fog is also likely at one or two places in Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Balangir, Boudh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Gajapati, Ganjam, Rayagada and Koraput districts between 8.30 am on Thursday and 8.30 am on Friday.
In the last 24 hours, dense fog had occurred at a few places in Bhadrak, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Khurda and Puri. Shallow fog was also seen at one or two places in Angul, the IMD said.
The lowest minimum temperature of 13.4°C was recorded at Keonjhar last night, it added.
