Free Hearse Service For Poor, Needy Launched In Odisha Capital

Bhubaneswar: ‘Sesha Saathi’, an initiative to help carry bodies of people belonging to poor and needy families and cremate them in Satya Nagar crematorium in Odisha capital. was launched by city-based social organisation Jai Odisha on Wednesday.

Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Police Commissioner Soumendra Priyadarshi inaugurated the service.

“A steel-making company of the state has supported the initiative and provided a hearse vehicle. The service will be provided free of cost and would help families who are unable to bear cremation expenses. All they have to do is contact us on 9853220023,” Jai Odisha president Rudra Narayan Samantaray said.
