Fresh Admission In Plus II Streams In Odisha To Fill Up 1.25 Lakh Vacant Seats

Bhubaneswar: With 1,25,407 seats falling vacant in the Plus II Science, Arts, Commerce, Sanskrit and Vocational Education streams, the Odisha government has decided to conduct fresh admission.

According to a notification by the Directorate of Higher Secondary Education, the admission will be held from November 5 to 19.

The students who have passed the annual and supplementary examinations and whose aggregate marks are equal to the cut-off marks in the colleges and are willing to take admission will be eligible to apply.

Besides, the students, who have applied for admission in their preferred junior colleges and Higher Secondary schools in the first phase and not allotted the seat, they can apply again through the SAMS portal www.samsodisha.gov.in using their old log-in account.

The merit list will be uploaded on the SAMS portal at 2 pm on November 23 while the admission will be held from November 24 to 27 while the concerned junior colleges and Higher Secondary schools will upload the number of students who have taken admission on the e-Space at 5 pm on November 28.

The merit list for the spot admission will be published on December 3 and the students will register their name on December 3 and 4.

The spot admission will be held on December 5 while the respective junior colleges and Higher Secondary schools will upload the details about the admission on their e-Space in the evening on December 7.
