Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance sleuths on Sunday began simultaneous searches at six locations linked to Shishir Kumar Dash, Assistant Executive Engineer posted at Mathili Block and attached to the District Rural Development Agency in Malkangiri, on allegations of possessing disproportionate assets.
According to a Vigilance release, the searches, authorised by warrants issued by the Special Judge, Vigilance, Brahmapur, are being conducted by a team led by one Additional Superintendent of Police, five Deputy Superintendents of Police, five Inspectors and supporting staff.
The premises under scrutiny include a four-storey building at Baramunda in Bhubaneswar, a double-storey building at Neelachal Nagar in Brahmapur, a house at Basudevpur (Gobara) in Ganjam district, the official’s paternal house at Gajapati Nagar in Brahmapur, a rented residential house in Malkangiri and his office chamber at the DRDA office in Malkangiri.
The raids are currently underway with further details expected to follow, the release added.
