Bhubaneswar: Petrol and diesel prices in Bhubaneswar are up by 95 paise and 92 paise, respectively, with fuel retailers affecting the second increase in as many days since the end of an over four-and-half month hiatus in rate revision.

On Wednesday, petrol was being sold at Rs 104.59 a litre and diesel at 94.371 a litre in Odisha, according to NDTV Challan. In Khurda and Cuttack, petrol and diesel will now cost Rs 103.82 a litre and 93.62 a litre, and Rs 103.81 a litre and Rs 93.61 a litre respectively.

The petrol price is the highest in Malkangiri at Rs 109.41/litre followed by Koraput (108.46) and Nabrangpur (107.85).

Similarly, petrol in Delhi will now cost Rs 97.01 a litre (up by 80paise) while the diesel rate has gone up from Rs 87.47 per litre to Rs 88.27, a price notification of state fuel retailers said.

Petrol and diesel prices/litre in Mumbai are Rs 111.67 and Rs 95.85 (up by 85 paise) respectively. In Kolkata and Chennai, petrol and diesel cost Rs 106.34 and Rs 91.42 and Rs 102.91 and Rs 92.95 respectively.

Notably, prices had been on a freeze since November 4 ahead of the assembly elections to five states, including Uttar Pradesh and Punjab, and a hike of Rs 15-20 per litre is required to fully pass the increase in international oil prices, CRISIL Research said.
