Bhubaneswar: Ganesh Puja was celebrated with much fervour and zeal in the state capital on Friday.
Students wearing colourful outfits and carrying ‘prasad’ thronged schools, colleges and other educational institutions to worship the elephant god.
Students and teachers of Saraswati Sisu Mandir, Unit-III, observed Ganesh Puja in devout manner by offering coconuts, fruits and sweets to the deity.
Apart from performing puja at temples, devotees in large numbers flocked to various pandals erected by prominent puja committees at Sahid Nagar, Unit-IV, Bapuji Nagar, Master Canteen and other places to perform the rituals associated with this auspicious occasion.
