Cuttack: Two days after the sensational escape of dreaded gangster Sheikh Hyder from SCB Medical College and Hospital here, one of his associates surrendered to Commissionerate Police on Monday.
DCP (Cuttack) Prateek Singh told the media that Hyder’s aide Yakub alias Sallu, a resident of Mahanadi Vihar in Cuttack, surrendered at Chauliaganj police station.
“During interrogation, Yakub said he had been supplying biryani to the gangster at SCM for four days. However, he said he had no knowledge about Hyder’s escape,” the DCP said.
