Ganjam: District Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange on Thursday directed the agriculture, horticulture, livestock departments and bank authorities to set up camps to provide loans to the migrants as needed.
He was speaking at a meeting attended by various departmental officials and bank authorities including Andhra Bank DGM Bhubaneswar Nayak, and NABARD AGM Suman Sahu. He also unveiled the 2020-21 Annual Loan Scheme at the meeting.
Kulange laid emphasis on how farmers can earn a good living and how others can be enabled to earn a livelihood through small and medium enterprises.
The District Collector directed the bank authorities to visit each panchayat and understand how people will earn money.
This year, the district has set a target of providing Rs 7,312.98 crore in loans. Of this, Rs 2995.07 crore is in agriculture and Rs 2151.73 crore in small and medium enterprises.
