Berhampur: Ganjam collector Vijay Amrit Kulange on Saturday ruled out shortage of oxygen in MKCG Medical College and Hospital, here after a surprise visit.
Following complaints about shortage of oxygen in MKCG Hospital, Kulange and his team visited the dedicated COVID hospital with personal protective equipment (PPE) and took stock of the situation and medicare services extended to COVID-19 patients.
During the visit, the collector took a round of the wards, went to several patients and enquired about their health condition, availability of oxygen and other facilities.
Speaking to media persons after the visit, the collector said, “It is not a fact that there is shortage of oxygen in MKCG Hospital. Supply chain is functioning properly and no patient has died due to lack of oxygen. Please don’t believe in rumour.”
