Berhampur: Twenty-six-year-old twin brothers — Laba and Kush — died of COVID-19 within two days of each other in Chikili village under Jagannathprasad block in Odisha’s Ganjam.
The identical twins died inside two days after paying tribute to their late father on his first death anniversary last week. They are survived by their 70-year-old mother.
As per reports, Laba and Kush were working at a private company in Bhubaneswar. They had gone to their native place recently to observe the rituals of the first death anniversary of their father Dhabaleswar Behera on May 17.
Two days after returning from their native village, Kush fell ill on May 19. He tested COVID-19 positive during treatment at the Bhanjangar SDH. He passed away on the night of May 20. His body was cremated without being brought to his village as per COVID-19 protocol.
The very next day, Laba started developing COVID symptoms and he eventually succumbed to the deadly virus on Saturday night.
