Bhubaneswar: Former Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan expressed his outrage on social media platform X, cliticizing Pakistan for violating the ceasefire agreement.

“Ghatiya desh ne fir apna ghatiyapan poori duniya ke aage dikha diya (The filthy nation has once again shown its filthiness to the whole world),” he wrote calling out Pakistan for its actions.

After three days of intense military hostilities,India and Pakistan have reached an “understanding” about stopping “military action” and “firing” on Saturday. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said that Pakistan’s DGMO called his Indian counterpart at 15:35 hours, following which both sides agreed to cease all firing and military activities starting from 17:00 hours IST.

However, India reported multiple drone attacks, targeting key Indian regions such as Srinagar and Kutch, just hours after the ceasefire was announced. This breach drew condemnation from officials and public figures across India.

Misri also urged Pakistan to take “appropriate steps” to address these breaches and deal with the situation seriously.

Dhawan’s sentiment echoed the growing frustration among Indian citizens who see Pakistan’s repeated breaches as deliberate and deceitful.

Earlier,  the UK and Saudi Arabia welcomed the development while the European Union termed it a “vital step towards de-escalation” and said all efforts must be made to ensure it is respected.
