Sambalpur: Rairakhol police have arrested two persons, including a juvenile, in connection with the alleged rape of a young girl waiting at a village bus stop in the Rairakhol area of Odisha’s Sambalpur district.
The prime accused has been identified as Pramod Pradhan, a resident of Arakhakuda village.

The crime occurred on Saturday evening when the survivor had gone to the village square to pick up her elder sister, who was returning from college by bus. Finding the younger girl alone, the two accused allegedly dragged her to an isolated spot and raped her. They later also attempted to sexually assault the elder sister, according to the complaint.
Both have been charged with rape and attempted rape.
