Kalyansinghpur: A girl student died while five others suffered critical injuries due to lightning strike at Karanda under Hindol police limits in Dhenkanal district on Tuesday.
According to available information, the incident took place when the six girl students of Pathani Samanta Institute of Engineering and Technology had gone for lunch near the college.
While one among them died on the spot, five others were rushed to Khajuriakota hospital for treatment.
