Goa: South Goa Police have arrested a 22-year-old man from Hubballi in Karnataka, for the alleged murder of his girlfriend.
The arrested has been identified as Sanjay Kevin M. Body of the woman, Roshni Moses M, also 22, was found with her throat slit in a forest area of Pratap Nagar on Monday morning.
According to reports, the couple had traveled to Goa to marry but a dispute led to the tragedy. He allegedly suspected that she was involved with another man. Sanjay flew back to Bengaluru after killing Roshni and dumping the body in the forest.
However, police traced and arrested him within 24 hours. “This murder was the result of a love affair, a marriage proposal and the dispute that arose from it,” South Goa SP Tikam Singh told the media.
