Chennai: Celebrated Tamil actor Vijay, who will be foraying into politics with Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) party, hosted Iftar and took part in prayers at Royapettah YMCA grounds here on Friday.
In a video shared by ANI, the actor is seen wearing a skullcap as he sat along with other attendees who broke their fast during the Ramzan month.
“Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam founder and chief Vijay hosts ‘Iftar’ during Ramzan month, in Chennai,” the news portal wrote along with the video.

In another video, the actor is seen thanking attendees for turning up for the Iftar to show ‘brotherhood.’
On the work front, Vijay was last seen in Venkat Prabhu’s ‘The GOAT’ in 2024.
He will be next seen in ‘Jana Nayagan’. During one of his rallies for TVK, he had confirmed that it would be his last film as he wanted to focus on politics and commit himself to the welfare of the people.
