New Delhi: In a bid to make train journeys more comfortable for mother and child, the Northern Railways has introduced ‘Baby berth’ facility on a trial basis.
The Delhi Division of Northern Railway introduced ‘Baby berth’ on Mother’s Day in Lucknow Mail on May 9.
These ‘baby berths’ are foldable and come equipped with a stopper so that babies do not fall. It works as an extra small berth for infants and is attached to the lower berth of the trains.
