Govt Compensation Paid To Families Of 4 COVID Warriors In Odisha’s Ganjam
Berhampur: The families of four COVID warriors of Ganjam district who died on duty were handed over ex gratia amount as announced by the state government on Wednesday.
Superintendent of Police of Ganjam Brijesh Rai handed over cheques of Rs 50 lakh to each family of the martyred warriors in his office chamber at Chhatrapur.
The COVID warriors of police department were working in different capacities across the district when they were affected by the coronavirus and succumbed to the disease.
“We express our gratitude to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for sanctioning the ex gratia to police COVID warriors who laid down their lives while rendering services in COVID-19 management,” the SP said.
