Govt Initiates Steps For Renovation Of Gupteshwar Temple In Odisha’s Koraput
Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has initiated steps for renovation and development of heritage and tourist places of Koraput district.
Secretary (5T) to chief minister VK Pandian on Friday visited Gupteshwar Temple and Sabari River Ghat in Boipariguda block. After discussion with the temple priests and local administration, he advised them to prepare a master plan for development of the shrine. He stressed on environmental issues and asked to ensure use of eco-friendly materials and comfort of the devotees in the proposed plan.
Pandian then visited Damyanti Sagar in Kotpad and advised the officals to take up beautification and peripheral development in the adjoining areas of the town. He also visited the indoor multi-purpose hall under construction and asked the authorities to complete it in time.
Later, he visited Kotpad College and asked the district administration to draw up plan for augmentation of classroom facilities.
He also went to Jagannath Sagar in Jeypore and advised phase wise development of the lake as per master plan. He asked the local municipality and minor irrigation department to take it up jointly.
Sports secretary Vyneel Krishna, Koraput district collector and other officials accompanied Pandian during the visit.
