Bhubaneswar: The Odisha School Education Programme Authority (OSEPA) has issued a set of guidelines to be followed by the schools during academic year 2022-23.
In a letter to all District Education Officers (DEOs) and District Project Coordinators (DPCs), Anupam Shah, State Project Director, OSEPA has directed to ensure that courses of studies of the students from Class I to VIII for the academic year are completed in due time.
Shah said since the schools will reopen after the summer vacation, the education authorities including DEOs, DPCs, headmasters and teachers should make a proper planning to ensure that the syllabus for the present year is completed . Besides, they have to help the students make up the studies they missed for the last two years when physical education was stopped due to COVID pandemic.
The OSEPA director issued the following guidelines for the schools to follow:
- Headmaster of each school should discuss with teachers to prepare an annual lesson plan focusing on completion of the courses in time
- The teachers should draw up separate plans to make up the studies lost during the pandemic
- Time table (class wise and subject wise) must be displayed in each class for the benefit of students
- The students, who would be found weak in any subject during periodical checking should be given extra care and attention by the school authorities
- Such students would be provided extra study materials as well teaching hours
- CRCC should keep a close watch on progress of studies in schools under their cluster and undertake inspection time to time
- Safety and security of the students should be ensured
- Child-friendly school environment should be ensured in each school
- The headmaster should undertake supervision of all Classes and record it in the supervision register
