Bhubaneswar: Odisha government is willing to partner with IIM Sambalpur in its journey of inclusive growth, said Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Sunday.
Addressing the second annual convocation ceremony of the institution, the Chief Minister said, “IIM Sambalpur should become an active participant, a knowledge partner and a think tank for planning, strategizing and reinforcing government schemes for social development.”
Expressing his happiness to note that IIM Sambalpur is growing fast and positioning itself as a centre of excellence in innovation and entrepreneurship, the CM said it is heartening to know that the institute has been aiming to prepare ethical leaders who along with their commitment to business, commerce and industry also strive for social consciousness while contributing to nation building.
“I am aware that many of IIM students are desirous of innovation based entrepreneurial opportunities. You must try to build upon your potential by converting innovative ideas into sustainable business models in order to create socio economic value for our country and society. IIM should take lead in developing the centres of excellence for start-ups and incubators. All these efforts at IIM will go a long way in fostering the community’s entrepreneurial climate by means of business creation and retention, technology commercialization and creation of jobs and wealth.”
Naveen wished the graduating students a bright career and a fulfilling life ahead.
