Bollywood’s favourite controversy child, Karan Johar has been in the eye of the storm since the suicide of actor Sushant Singh Rajput on June 15.
Karan Johar has reportedly withdrawn into a shell post all the trolling related to Sushant’ death and allegations of nepotism against him. He is also upset with his fraternity for not standing by him.
According to yet unconfirmed media reports, the star director has decided to quit from the board of MAMI (Mumbai Academy of Moving Image) Film Festival. Mumbai Mirror reported that he has sent his resignation via email to the festival’s artistic director Smriti Kiran.
The festival is chaired by Deepika Padukone and has Zoya Akhtar, Kabir Khan, Siddharth Roy Kapur, Vikramaditya Motwane and Rohan Sippy on its board.
