Heavy Rain To Lash Odisha For 4 Days; Yellow Warning By IMD

Bhubaneswar: After decrease in the intensity of rain for a day, heavy downpour is likely to pound many parts of Odisha during the next four days, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Monday.

In its midday bulletin, the Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar said that light to moderate rain along with thundershower is expected to occur in most parts of the state over the next week.

The weather agency issued yellow warning of heavy rainfall (7 to 11cm) and thunderstorm with lightning for 16 districts for the next 24 hours. The districts to be affected are Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nabarangpur, Khurda, Nayagarh, Sundargarh, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Cuttack, Bargarh, and Jharsuguda.

Yellow Warning: Heavy rain (7 to 11cm) and thunderstorm with lightning may occur at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Khurda, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Rayagada, and Koraput.

Yellow Warning: Heavy to very heavy rainfall (7 to 20 cm) is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur and heavy rain (7 to 11cm) at one or two places of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Boudh, Sonepur, Deogarh, Balangir, Nuapada, Nabarangpur, Koraput, and Rayagada .

Yellow Warning: Heavy rainfall (7 to 11cm) is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, and Bargarh.
