Heavy To Very Heavy Rainfall Forecast Over Odisha; Check Details

Bhubaneswar: Several districts of Odisha are likely to experience heavy rainfall in the next five days because of the monsoon combined with a cyclonic circulation over the Northwest Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood, the India Meteorological Department (IMD)’s regional meteorological centre here forecast on Tuesday.

July 6 (Till 8.30 am)

Orange warning: Heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Ganjam and Boudh.

Yellow warning: Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Rayagada, Khurda, Puri, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Koraput, Bolangir, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sundargarh, Keonjhar and Gajapati.

Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at most places over the districts of South Odisha and North Interior Odisha, and at many places over the districts of North Coastal Odisha.

July 6 (8.30 am) to July 7 (8.30 am)

Yellow warning: Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Nuapada, Bolangir, Sonepur, Sambalpur and Bargarh.

Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at most places over the districts of South Interior Odisha and at many places over the rest districts of Odisha.

July 7 (8.30 am) to July 8 (8.30 am)

Yellow warning: Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj.

Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at many places over the districts of Odisha.

July 8 (8.30 am) to July 9 (8.30 am)

Yellow warning: Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Boudh, Nuapada and Bolangir.

Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at many places over the districts of Odisha.

July 9 (8.30 am) to July 10 (8.30 am)

Yellow warning: Heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Angul, Boudh and Kandhamal. Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Khurda, Puri, Kendrapara, Jajpur, Keonjhar, Sambalpur, Sonepur, Bargarh, Bolangir and Kalahandi.

Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at most places over the districts of Odisha.
