Mumbai: Movie buffs are going to have a blockbuster 2025 with several Bollywood sequels lined up for release next year. The makers of most of these sequels have promised to offer a fresh twist to the audience. From action-packed franchises to heartwarming tales of romance and even horror comedies, there’s what lies in store for the audience in 2025:
Raid 2
‘Raid 2’ is the highly-anticipated sequel to the 2018 Ajay Devgn starrer crime thriller ‘Raid’. In the sequel, Ajay returns as the uncompromising IRS officer Amay Patnaik.
The sequel will once again explore the world of corruption and tax raids. Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, the film also stars Vaani Kapoor in lead role. It is slated to hit theatres on May 1, next year.
Jolly LLB 3
The ‘Jolly LLB 2’ star cast including Akshay Kumar, Arshad Warsi, and Huma Qureshi have teamed up once again for the third installment of the movie titled ‘Jolly LLB 3.’ The sequel of Jolly LLB 2 will be dealing with legal issues with the same wit and humour as it had done in its prequels. The film will be releasing on April 11, next year.
Housefull 5
Comedy franchise ‘Housefull’ will be returning with its fifth installment starring Akshay Kumar, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Abhishek Bachchan in prominent roles, along with other stars. Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, the film will hit theatres on June 6, 2025.
War 2
After the huge success of ‘War’ in 2019, its sequel is set to have more high-octane action sequences. Besides Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff, the sequel will also star Jr. NTR in a negative role. Helmed by Ayan Mukerji, the film is scheduled to release on August 14, next year.
Welcome to the Jungle
‘Welcome to the Jungle’, the third installment of the ‘Welcome’ franchise, will star Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Disha Patani and Raveena Tandon. Directed by Ahmed Khan, the movie is slated to release on December 27, next year.
Son of Sardaar 2
‘Son of Sardaar 2,’ the sequel to the 2012 action-comedy ‘Son Of Sardaar’, will show lead actor Ajay Devgn getting embroiled in another hilarious family feud. Directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, the film is scheduled to release next year.
De De Pyaar De 2
Starring Ajay Devgn, Rakul Preet Singh and R. Madhavan in lead roles, comedy sequel ‘De De De Pyaar De 2’ is all set to release on November 14, 2025.
Don 3
The third installment of the Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Don’ will feature a new don Ranveer Singh. Titled as ‘Don 3’, the sequel will be directed by Farhan Akhtar, and will have action, suspense, and drama like its prequels.
Baaghi 4
Promising a darker and bloodier mission, the Tiger Shroff starrer ‘Baaghi 4’ will take the action-packed franchise to new heights. Directed by A Harsha, the film is scheduled to release on September 5, next year.
