Hyderabad: Allu Arjun’s cousin Niharika Konidela, who is making her comeback with the Tamil film ‘Madraskaran’, said that the death of the 35-year-old woman in the Sandhya theatre stampede was graver than the actor’s arrest.
“No one likes anything negative happening to anyone, but what happened in the situation was much bigger. Someone dying is way bigger than anything. We all do things to live one more day. More than the entire situation, my heart was stuck there, that someone died. He (Arjun) is getting better now,” Niharika told Galatta Tamil when asked about cousin Allu’s arrest in the ‘Pushpa 2’ stampede case.
Niharika, sister of Varun Tej Konidela, is Ram Charan and Allu Arjun’s cousin.
While Niharika stated that she was more concerned about the victim’s family, she did shower praises on Allu for being an inspiration to other actors with his different looks in every film and cousin Ram for ‘teaching her’ how to conduct herself during interviews.
Allu Arjun was arrested on December 13 from his residence following an FIR in connection with the Sandhya theatre stampede. However, the actor was later released on interim bail. Recently, the Nampally court granted him regular bail.
Niharika, who made her film debut in 2016 with the Telugu film Oka Manasu, was last seen in the 2019 film ‘Suryakantham.’
