Here’s How Much You Have To Pay For Traffic Violations In Odisha Starting Today

Bhubaneswar: The State Transport Authority on Saturday announced strict enforcement of traffic rules from March 1. The six-month relaxation to get the documents in order had ended on February 29. Here’s a recap on how much you will be charged for violations under the new amended Motor Vehicle Act 2019:

Old Penalty
Exceeding 30 mg per 100 ml of Blood First-Time Offence:
Rs.10,000 and/or Imprisonment of up to 6 months.Second-Time Offence:
Rs.15,000 and/or Imprisonment of up to 2 years
Rs.2,000

 

Also, you need not carry physical documents such as driving licence, RC, insurance, etc if you have them linked on mParivahan and DigiLocker.
