New Delhi: Spiritual guru Devkinandan Thakur has demanded formation of a Sanatan Board and advocated that Hindu girls should be married to Hindus only.
“We need Sanatan Board so that Tirumala incident does not happen again. Action should be taken against those who have adulterated the Prasad. The company which is selling halal goods should be boycotted,” he said during his Dharma Sansad in Delhi.
“Religious conversion should be stopped through Sanatan Board… Hindu girls should only get married to Hindu boys,” Devkinandan said.
He urged religious leaders to get together to unite Hindus.
“If not now, then never. We have tolerated a lot, now we won’t tolerate it anymore. Hindus will take their rights. We will not be divided,” he said.
A day earlier, Devkinandan said leaders of all political parties will be approached for support and strengthen the voice of ‘Sanatanis’.
“Why were the rights of Sanatanis taken away after independence? Why is the place of worship in the possession of the government? The right to protect our religion is our fundamental right. Those who adulterated the Prasad have violated the Constitution,” he remarked.
Devkinandan had sought a Sanatan Board earlier this week also, after Islamic cleric Tauqeer Raza made “inflammatory” and “provocative” remarks.
“We are demanding three things from the ‘Sanatan Dharma Sansad.’ Our first demand is to establish the Sanatan Board, our second demand is to form ‘Krishna Bhoomi Mandir,’ and our third demand is to take strict action in the Tirupati Balaji temple matter,” Devkinandan told IANS.
He urged the government to take strict action against Raza for using unconstitutional words.
“Raza is trying to scare 100 crore Sanatanis. There are some people in our country who are trying to create situations like Bangladesh,” he observed.
