Hockey Gangpur-Odisha Registers First Win in Sr Nationals

Lucknow: Hockey Gangpur-Odisha secured their first win in the Senior Men’s National Championships, after they outplayed Hockey Jharkhand 6-1.

The team took the lead in the 19th minute through Amon Mirash Tirkey, which was equalised in the 23rd minute by Joseph Kongari of Hockey Jharkhand.

Roshan Minz helped Gangpur come back on track after he scored the second goal in the 27th minute.

Hockey Gangpur continued its dominance and Aijub Ekka, Dilip Lakra and Sanjay Xalxo scored in the 45th, 47th and 56th minute. With one minute to go for the final hooter, Roshan Minz scored the sixth goal as Hockey-Gangpur Odisha registered its first win.
