Khordha: A Travelling Ticket Inspector (TTI), Laxmidhar Mohanty, is earning praise for returning a vanity bag containing cash and ornaments to a passenger at Khordha Road Railway Station on Thursday.
According to sources, the woman’s vanity bag fell down when she was travelling on Junagarh-Bhubaneswar Express. Laxmidhar, who was going back home after duty and found the bag. He took it to the TTI office and found cash, ornaments, Aadhar card and important documents in the bag. He identified Rupa Barala of Junagarh in Kalahandi district as the owner of the bag.
Laxmidhar immediately contacted the Bhubaneswar TC office and asked for an announcement to be made. Sure enough, Rupa Barala contacted the office and talked with Mohanty over phone.
Her bag was sent to the Bhubaneswar TC office through East Coast Express after verifying her identity.
