Mumbai: When Dharmendra was in the ICU at Breach Candy Hospital here, a private video of the veteran actor and his family went viral on social media.
The hospital staff who recorded the video secretly has been arrested, reported the Hindustan Times. Further details are awaited.
In the viral video from the ICU, Dharmendra is seen lying unconscious in the hospital bed, while his sons Bobby Deol and Sunny Deol are seen standing near his bed with other family members, including Sunny’s sons Karan Deol and Rajveer Deol, and the veteran’s first wife Prakash Kaur, looking inconsolable.
Dharmendra got discharged from the hospital on Wednesday.
An official statement shared by the family read: “Mr Dharmendra has been discharged from the hospital and will continue his recovery at home. We kindly request the media and the public to refrain from any further speculation and to respect his and the family’s privacy during this time. We appreciate everyone’s love, prayers, and good wishes for his continued recovery, good health, and long life. Please respect him because he loves you.”
