Mumbai: A ward boy was arrested for allegedly molesting a 24-year-old woman inside a private hospital in Mumbai’s Malad East area on Tuesday. According to India Today, the accused has been identified as Mukesh Prajapati.
The ward boy, 30, who had been doing duty at the hospital for a year, is now in judicial custody.
The woman took admission in the hospital for piles treatment. On the eve of her surgery, the Prajapati allegedly came inside her room and molested her on the pretext of applying medicine on her.
Dindoshi police station PSI Pravin Kamble said Prajapati had told the patient that the doctors asked him to apply medicine on her prior to the operation. The accused touched her private parts on the pretext of applying medicine.
After the operation, the woman and her family registered an FIR. According to PSI Kamble, based on the complaint, the accused has been arrested under IPC Section 354.
