Hours After Wajid Khan’s Death, His Mother Tests Positive For COVID-19

New Delhi: Hours after Bollywood music composer Wajid Khan succumbed to complications arising from COVID-19 infection, his mother Razina Khan has also tested positive for the deadly coronavirus.

According to an ABP News report, a source close to the family has revealed that Razina has been admitted to the Surana Sethia hospital in Mumbai. Wajid was admitted to the same hospital and was on ventilator for 4 days before breathing his last.

“Razina had contracted coronavirus before Wajid was infected. Wajid, who was suffering from kidney and throat infection, tested positive for COVID-19 later,” another source said.

“Sajid-Wajid’s mother is better now and her condition has improved. She had been staying in Surana Sethia hospital to take care of her ailing son. However, she contracted COVID-19 after coming in contact with other coronavirus patients in the hospital,” he added.

Wajid was laid to rest at Versova cemetery on Monday afternoon. He is survived by wife Yashmin Khan and two children.
